Collagen induction therapy

Microneedling with HA, PRP & Exosomes

A controlled micro-injury protocol that stimulates your own collagen and elastin production. Three levels of biologic support — from hyaluronic acid to autologous platelet-rich plasma to exosome signaling — chosen to match your skin’s baseline and your recovery window.

The three protocols

What each biologic adds to the needling

The microneedling pass is identical in all three. What changes is the material driven into the channels while they are open.

Hyaluronic acid

A high-molecular-weight HA serum is applied through the open channels. It binds water in the dermis, calms the treated field, and supports the healing phase.

  • Immediate hydration and plumping
  • Softer fine lines and crepe texture
  • Shortest recovery of the three

Platelet-rich plasma

We draw a small volume of your blood, concentrate the platelets in-office, and apply the plasma topically and by micro-injection. Autologous — nothing foreign is introduced.

  • Concentrated growth factors (PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF)
  • Stronger collagen remodeling than HA alone
  • Useful for acne scarring and under-eye texture

Exosomes

Lab-derived extracellular vesicles carrying signaling peptides, lipids and mRNA. Layered on top of PRP to amplify the cell-to-cell messaging that drives repair.

  • Highest-intensity regenerative signal we offer
  • Targets tone, pigment and laxity together
  • Often reduces post-treatment redness duration

Separate service

Under-eye PRP

A targeted injectable protocol for the tear trough and lower orbital skin, booked on its own rather than as part of a microneedling session. Platelet-rich plasma is placed in small aliquots into the thin periorbital dermis, where filler is often too heavy and lasers too aggressive.

Because the plasma is drawn from your own blood, there is no product to dissolve and no risk of the puffiness or Tyndall discoloration that can follow hyaluronic acid in this area.

Possible bruising
3
Sessions, 4 wks apart
What it addresses
Crepey lower-lid texture, fine crinkling, dark circles driven by thin skin and visible vasculature, and mild hollowing.
How it differs from filler
PRP thickens and improves skin quality rather than adding volume. Patients with true structural hollowing may be better served by filler, or by both in sequence.
What to expect
Topical numbing, a small blood draw, then micro-injections along the orbital rim. Swelling settles within 24 hours; bruising, when it occurs, is easily covered.
Not a candidate if
You have significant lower-lid laxity or fat herniation, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a bleeding or platelet disorder.

Who this treatment suits

Microneedling works across all Fitzpatrick skin types with a low risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, which makes it a first-line choice where resurfacing lasers carry more risk.

Acne scarring and post-inflammatory texture
Rolling and boxcar scars respond best; PRP or exosomes are recommended over HA alone.
Early fine lines and loss of firmness
Late twenties through fifties, where the goal is collagen maintenance rather than volume replacement.
Enlarged pores and uneven tone
Improves the appearance of pore size and surface reflectivity over a series.
Stretch marks and surgical scars
Off-face areas are treatable; expect a longer series and priced separately at consultation.
Thinning hair along the scalp
PRP scalp protocols use the same platelet preparation; ask about this at your consult.

What to expect, step by step

01
Consult and consent
Skin assessment, medical history, and protocol selection. Photographs are taken for baseline comparison.
10 min
02
Numbing
A topical anesthetic is applied to the cleansed treatment area and left to take effect.
20–30 min
03
Blood draw
PRP protocols only. A small draw is spun in-office to separate the platelet layer.
10 min
04
Needling pass
Depth is set per zone. Most patients describe pressure and vibration rather than pain.
20 min
05
Biologic and finish
HA, PRP, or PRP with exosomes is applied, followed by a barrier balm and mineral SPF.

Timeline

How results arrive

Collagen remodeling is slow by design. The visible change at week one is hydration; the structural change shows up months later.

Day 0–1
Redness comparable to a moderate sunburn, with warmth and tightness. Makeup is avoided for 24 hours; sleep on a clean pillowcase.
Day 2–3
Redness fades to a flush. Mild sandpaper texture and light flaking as the epidermis turns over. This is the end of typical downtime.
Week 1
Hydration and glow are at their most visible — this is the HA and plasma effect, not yet new collagen.
Week 4–6
Neocollagenesis becomes measurable. Texture, pore appearance and fine lines improve. This is when the next session is scheduled.
Month 3–6
Full remodeling from a completed series. Scars appear shallower and firmness improves. Maintenance is typically one to two sessions a year.
